Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal: October 25 Facade Event, New Cafe and AURA Offer
Visiting Old Montreal in late October? Notre-Dame Basilica has a free facade celebration on October 25, a new cafe and a limited AURA discount.
October 25: facade celebration
On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the event begins at 12:30 p.m. The Société philharmonique du Nouveau Monde and organist Jean-Willy Kunz will perform free, outside and inside the Basilica, marking the facade’s unveiling after ten years of restoration work. Reserve a free ticket on the official Basilica website and recheck details before travelling.
Le Firmament cafe
Le Firmament, operated by Café Saint-Henri, has opened inside the Basilica. A portion of its profits supports restoration work. Confirm current cafe hours and access with the venue.
15% off AURA in October
From October 1–31, show an STM transit pass for 15% off AURA admission when buying at the on-site box office. Availability is limited and the offer is not described as an online discount. Check the official site for conditions; the facade event does not automatically include AURA admission.
The Basilica is at 110 Notre-Dame Street West. For another downtown stop, see our RÉSO visitor guide.
